Just the wind that smells fresh before the storm [BtS]

All right, I admit it. I'm never going to be a professional seer. Last month, when I made my predictions, I managed to get exactly none of them right. Yet, some of the minor concepts were interesting, and I hope that while I'm not the most factual source of information, I can at least be entertaining.
You were at least a bit entertained, right? Right?
Well, this month seems to be a mess of Barbarians, Political Intrigue, and Bards, with three major updates being explicitly referred to.
One of the updates, the one I'm looking forward to the most, is the first update. From first glance, all it looks like is a new dungeon, but reading a bit more closely shows that it might be a mini-quest on the same level as the Abyssal Mage mini-quest. It mentioned building Burial Ships (Construction, or maybe Crafting), wielding one-handed spears (Attack, Combat), starting fires (Firemaking), potion-making, fishing, and then mentions luck. Hopefully, what this means is some medium or high level tasks that you have to get through to get access to this dungeon. I wouldn't be surprised if the tasks required 70+ in some skills, as the reward of access to level 300 Mithril Dragons is not one for the low-levels.
Bring it on.
Coming up next, is the usual graphical update. This time, various birds are going under the Makeover Mage's watchful eye, and if the pattern holds, all of the birds will be looking beautiful after this update is finished. And this update will also bring some various music to the game, for the few of us that listen to the in-game music.
The random aside with a new Random Event could have probably been grouped with the last update, but personally, I hope they fire the Sandwich lady. The new Dragon Headmaster seems like an interesting idea, but if all they give are the usual sapphires, will it really be worth it? Not that we have a choice.
The last update mentioned is a sequel to the Sinclair storyline, with the Knights of Camelot being involved in some way. The King's Ransom quest will surely be a fun puzzle-based quest, but we'll see what the reward is, won't we.
And as the random updates that are named at the bottom, Constructionists can rejoice, as the room number is now boosted to 30 rooms per house, giving even the most stingy players room to expand. Maybe some might want a longer dungeon, no?
Aside from the first update, this month is of little interest to me personally, but the whole Mithril Dragon subquest and dungeon will surely entertain even the highest levels in this game.
My predictions, as usual, are:
- Week of July 2nd: Mithril Dragons and Miniquest
- Week of July 9th: New Music and Bird Updates
- Week of July 16th: Random Events
- Week of July 23th: King's Ransom Quest
The title of the last Behind the Scenes from me referred to The Wizard of Oz, of course. See if you can guess this month's!

Rest assured you have entertained at least one reader. For you or any of the other crewbies of the editorial crew to write an entire editorial that is as informative as any that have been written to date is more entertaining to read than trying to write one myself in reply, to convey my opinions (writer's block every time, argh).
Also, if a mithril dragon is lvl 300, do you think Jad will be tamed when (or if) a rune dragon (or even a dragon dragon, lol) is released, just as the King Black Dragon was tamed when the Kalphite Queen was released?

What is so wrong the sandwich lady? Personally I think it's one of the easiest, shortest and least dangerous randoms. Ever got Miles or one of his brothers while you just started to attack a metal dragon? You don't last very long with a noted anti-fire shield.

I'm fine with the Sandwich Lady if I need some food after fighting something, or if she gives me another kebab to add to Mrschrystler's collection. A chocolate bar is ok, too.
No, the random I find most annoying is Evil Bob's Island. Although the number of fish that you have to 'uncook' is reduced to one, down from three, it is entirely too long for the piddly amount of Fishing XP it gives.
I realize I'm repeating myself from elsewhere, but... I'll say it again anyways.

Nice article.
Altough I don't see that much wrong with the sandwich lady, and other short random events. Those where you are teleported to somewhere to do something pointless are much more annoying. Mostly prison pete, evil bob and evil twins, because they dont give cool clothes as a reward.

I personally like the jail event with Evil Bob. The rewards are some of the best for random events - 4 snapdragons, anyone? I dislike the events that bring up a new interface - especially during combat. Sandwich Lady, the Certers, etc. Of course, I could never want Miles/Giles/Niles to leave, as I feel a bit nostalgic for RSC.

I was rather disappointed to discover that I needed 99 Construction for the extra ten rooms
